Flying High With John Travolta
Jackie Watson, the French reporter, was flying high on the red carpet at the 13th Annual Living Legends of Aviation event held at the Beverly Hilton. Jackie had the rare opportunity to speak with the host of the evening’s event, Living Legend founder and ‘Grease’ star, Mr. John Travolta.
Hopelessly devoted to Mr. Travolta, Jackie listened intently as he explained the reasons for the evenings event.
The Living Legends of Aviation members consists of a group of extraordinary, accomplished aviators such as entrepreneurs, innovators, industry leaders, record breakers, celebrity pilots and astronauts. Their annual events are held in order to recognize and honor individuals who have made significant contributions in aviation. This years new inductees included: President/CEO and founder of Honda Jet, Michimasa Fujino, Daniel Wolff, chief pilot and manager of Nationwide’s flight department, Greg Feith, former NTSB Senior Air Safety Investigator, and “Doolittle Raiders” Dick Cole and David Thatcher.
The event was celebrated by other celebrity attendees such as Bob Hoover, Harrison Ford, Sully Sullenberger, Forrest Bird, Treat Williams, Kurt Russell, and Morgan Freeman, just to name a few.
Overall, it was a great night. However, the night could not have been complete without a little ‘Greased Lightning’ in the house. Our special guest, ‘Beauty School Dropout’ and self-proclaimed dancer, Ray, Ray (a.k.a. ‘Rock n’ Roll Party Queen’), hit the stage in his uniquely fashionable leotard.
Ray, Ray dazzled the crowd as he danced and glided his way through the ‘Blue Moon’ light and into the drivers seat of his bright, red Chevy. Onlookers applauded his unsurpassed ability to play air-guitar. It was clear that Ray, Ray was ‘Born to Hand Jive.’
Nice job Ray, Ray! We can still hear the crowd shouting, ‘You are the One that I want.’ And if we are not mistaken, it seemed that Mr. Travolta was ‘mooning’ a bit over Ray, Ray’s performance. Could it be?
