4th Annual Matthew Silverman Golf Tournament 2016

Jackie Watson, the French reporter, was on the red carpet at The 4th Annual Matthew Silverman Golf Tournament which was held at the El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, CA.

Jackie had the opportunity to speak with many elite celebrities who were in attendance such as Sheldon Smith, Melissa Nielson, Max Evans, Richard Schiff, Lance Broadway, and many more. She discussed with them their reasons for supporting The 4th Annual Matthew Silverman Golf Tournament and the Matthew Silverman foundation itself.

Jackie also had a great question for our celebrities. She wanted to know what they do to improve themselves both physically and mentally. Sheldon Smith explained that he exercises personal development, he meditates, and he works on his hobbies and craft. He believes that it is important for ones mental health to stay focused, keep motivated, and just keep going on in life. Lance Broadway tries to focus on the positive things in life. Pro racquetball player, Max Evans believes that keeping fit helps to empower you both mentally and physically and he does so by playing different sports.

Over four years ago, Ron Silverman, founder of The Matthew Silverman Foundation embarked on a plan to hold an inaugural golf event. His hope was to create an exceptional experience while at the same time, funds for charities that engaged in combating teen suicide.

The Matthew Silverman Foundation was founded by Ron Silverman whose depressed son, Matthew, tragically took his own life in 2006. In an attempt to turn this tragedy into something positive, Ron created the foundation. The foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating teen suicide.

The Matthew Silverman Foundation is making a huge difference in the lives of many and we are proud to stand beside them to help fight suicide and to offer support to those who need it.

In closing, please remember, suicide is never the answer. There is hope and there is always tomorrow.
