Poker Chips and Water
Our own queen of hearts, Jackie Watson the french reporter, was on the red carpet at The 2nd annual PEACE Fund Poker Tournament which was held on September 26, 2015 in Los Angeles, at The Reserve in Playa Vista. The event, hosted by Microsoft, will once again be changing the lives of children in need around the world. All proceeds from this year’s event will go to fund top organization initiatives, putting all donations to work where support is needed the most.
Last year, in partnership with Wells Bring Hope, the donations funded two new clean-water wells in West Africa. This year with the help of all participants, they were able to raise even more money to fund other children-focused charity partners.
With poker chips in hand and putting on her best poker face, Jackie spoke with many of the celebrities and attendees at the event.
First and foremost, she spoke with the PEACE Fund’s founder, Adrian Paul. He talked about the organization’s hopes, dreams goals, future plans and challenges, and he also spoke of why The PEACE Fund means so much to him.
Jackie also talked with celebrities and attendees such as Carl Weathers, Mekhi Phifer, Barbara Goldberg, Bai Ling, Renee and Casey Nezhoda, Rick Mora, Kyle Schmid, Vincent M. Ward, Eme Ikwuakor and many more.
Although the tournament was filled over-all with the seriousness of the cause, Jackie was able to extract some laughter and fun from the celebs. She even persuaded Eme Ikwauakor to show-off his abs. And abs there were! Nice job Jackie.
She was also able to coerce a few of the male celebrities into exposing their relationship statuses. And lucky for us, it seems as though there were quite a few single celebs out there. Stars such as Vincent M. Ward and Kyle Schmid admitted to being single and Jackie, who is also admittedly single, may have won the hearts of a few of them. In fact, she may have just found her future husband. We wish her all the luck in the world!
Psst, Jackie, next time you go husband shopping, please don’t forget to bring along your ole, single pal, Val 😉
