Enemy within blasts the Red Carpet!
West Hollywood, 22 September 2016 – One could be forgiven for thinking Jackie the French Reporter could, by now, be a little blasé about a red carpet première, but you’d be wrong. There was just too much buzz on this red carpet at the Landmark Regent Theatre! Everyone was excited and thoroughly enjoying the evening. The success of this amazing and magical event certainly bodes well for the success of the film, which stars one of Hollywood’s most gifted actors, Academy and Golden Globe nominated Eric Roberts.
From our experience, paying close attention to which character he plays is always a good idea, and as he is credited as Jack #2 in this film, one thing is certain: whatever it is, you’ll never see it coming! Also starring is the dynamic duo of Damian Chapa and Romina Di Lella, who also split the roles of director and producer between them; just as they did on their previous success, 2014’s Love Hate & Security.
An excited Jackie caught up with Damian Chapa, and got the scoop from him: “The story of Enemy Within is about a woman who comes from Europe to try and make the American Dream happen. She gets here and she moves into the wrong neighbourhood, unbeknownst to her and all hell breaks loose! And she finally realizes: it’s not always the American Dream when you come here and she has to fight her way back to life.”
The beautiful, “Italian born Berlin girl” Romina Di Lella plays Concetta, a pole dancer who gets involved in dirty mafia business. “I found it a big challenge playing a role that has different emotional aspects such as deep intensity and passion, not to mention the exciting acting part.” And just a special note: this lady can dance. We mean seriously do justice to the exotic side of her character with that pole! And if that is not enough to make you crazy-jealous, check out the film’s soundtrack. Yup, Romina is a composer there as well. Seems blondes do have more fun…
Eric Roberts described the process of filming as “A lot of fun. It was a lot of fun.” Typically self-effacing, he didn’t give much away about his character, just adding to camera: “You’ll love it! It’s a lot of fun to watch!”
