GOD BLESS THE BROKEN ROAD
In recent years, the popularity of Christian films hitting the silver-screen has been on the rise. Films such as The Shack, I Can Only Imagine, Risen, and God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness have all acquired huge, worldwide success. And there are more movies to come.
The movie God Bless the Broken Road, scheduled to hit theaters TODAY Sept. 7, 2018, is already sweeping headlines all around the world. The movie tells the story of a young mother who loses her husband in Afghanistan and struggles to raise their young daughter on her own. The film is a combination of faith, country music, and stock car racing. The film also serves as a tribute to all those who serve and have served in the U.S. Military.
Jackie Watson, the French reporter, was on the red carpet at the film’s premiere in Hollywood, CA, where she spoke with several of the film’s stars including Lindsay Pulsipher who played Amber Hill; Mackenzie Moss, who played Amber’s daughter Bree; Andrew W. Walker who played the role of Cody Jackson; LaDainian Tomlinson, the pastor; Gary Grubbs, the mechanic; and Gianna Simone, who played Monica.
Jackie also had the wonderful privilege of speaking with one of the film’s producers Mr. Andy Fraser. And, she was blessed to speak with the film’s director/producer Harold Cronk who spoke briefly about the film’s storyline, characters, and his reasons making the movie. Cronk also directed movies such as God’s Not Dead; God’s Not Dead 2; God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness; and Unbroken: Path to Redemption, the sequel to Angelina Jolie’s original Unbroken, the story of World War II hero Louis Zamperini. Unbroken: Path to Redemption will be released on September 14, 2018.
In closing we leave you with this: Could the rise of popular faith-based films be a sign of the times? As the world continues to grow more chaotic each day, one has to wonder if perhaps Jesus Christ is in fact, coming soon! If so, are you ready to meet Him?
