Clairobscur Dance Company’s First Annual Event
What an electrifying night at the Clairobscur Dance Company’s first annual VIP fund-raising event which was held in Hollywood, CA. Attending the event was our very own Jackie Watson, the french reporter, who lit up the red carpet with her sparkling personality and her ‘Can’t Touch This’ dance moves.
A silent auction ran throughout the evening and Raj Sharma hosted a pledge drive that will help the Clairobscur Dance Company raise money to continue their important work, which is currently addressing climate change and its impact on the environment.
Clairobscur Dance Company is the instrument upon which founder Laurie Sefton crafts her dense and detailed choreography. Ms. Sefton showcased a piece from her portfolio on the dance floor under the sparkling lights on the patio. Entertainment was provided by guest DJ Emma Ford, as well as a pop up performance by the sensational Clairobscur Dance team, themselves.
Jackie sparked up a few ‘ha-ha’ moments and conversations with many of the celebrity attendees including the lovely Katie Cleary, Briana Evigan, Tonya Kay, Janice Dickinson and Mandy Amano. And she stood aglow yet tearful in the dusty midst of the band “The Scheme” as they sang, “We could be diamonds, we could be dust.” Can anyone say, “Heart-breaking?”
Following the event was a very special performance by Rock n’ Rolls newest star, Ray, Ray.
Ray, Ray redefined Tap dancing with his ‘on-again, off-again’ slippery sandals move. He solarized the crowd with his ‘pump n’ grind’ hip hop routine and he eclipsed the hearts of many celebrity beauties with his ‘sexiest-man-alive’ belly-dancing shimmy. Ray, Ray was truly on fire while performing his version of the pirouette. He is definitely a ‘flame-too-hot-to-be-handled’—ouch. Watch out girls, Ray, Ray is one man who is destined to melt your pretty little hearts! We hope his dance moves were as good for you as they were for us.
Side note: Ray, Ray will appear along side Briana Evigan in “Stand Up 6” which will hit theaters somewhere in time … in the very, very, very distant future.
There was also a brief but special appearance by the infamous talking dog, Bobby, the dog reporter.
Nightcap: We would like to thank all of our celebrities and of course, Ray, Ray and Bobby, the dog reporter, for their wonderful contributions. And remember folks, be energy efficient by ‘sharing your shower.’
