Taylor Swift might be in the headlines for her newest release, “Bad Blood,” but here at Watson HQ we’re more focused on her newest beau – and we’re sure there’s no bad blood there!
The insanely popular Calvin Harris, 31, known for being one of the best dance/electronic artists and DJ’s in the world, has been dating global superstar Swift, 25, for a few months now. Since February, the two have been spotted doing everything from attending concerts together in Vegas to shopping at Whole Foods in Nashville. Finally, the Swiftie world exploded with happiness during the 2015 Billboard Music Awards in May, when Swift and Harris sat next to each other, hugging and kissing while Swift won 8 awards over the course of the night. Although Swift will sing almost anything about her love life on her albums and in concert, she’s not known for a lot of PDA with her beaus. Looks like Harris is the exception – he must be one fantastic boyfriend!
Soon after, they went “Instagram official” when Swift posted a picture of the cute couple in the pool, sitting on an inflatable swan. Things only escalated in the public sphere of “Hift” (we’re working on a better couple name, we promise) when Harris posted an Instagram video of Swift’s cat, Meredith, adorably drinking water in slow-mo. Looks like he was doing some babysitting while she was busy stunning crowds on her 1989 World Tour.

Popular tech company Apple shared it’s newest venture, Apple Music, with the world this past month, but Swift was not happy with it’s trial period policy. “”Three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing” said Swift in an open letter she posted on her Tumblr. She continued on, arguing that new artists who are trying to breakout are at a disadvantage when choosing to be featured on Apple Music, since they do not have the financial stability that she herself is blessed with to afford three months of no pay. Keep in mind, Swift pulled her music from Spotify earlier this year for similar reasons. Apple responded the same day with a tweet: Well done, Swift! Her boyfriend seemed to agree, as he tweeted
I just played a gig inside a giant owl and my girl just changed the entire music industry what a day

The owl he’s referring to, of course, is from the annual Electric Daisy Carnival that occurred this past weekend.
Here’s to more good news from our new favorite couple.
